Epson Experts ~ 7600 Help

(1/3) > >>

Clark:
I picked up a used 7600 yesterday, and it's been sitting in a hot print shop for the last year and a half.  To my surprise after one head cleaning from the control panel, all heads are working somewhat.  I read that if you run 5-6 consecutive head cleanings and nozzle checks that each progressive cleaning will get stronger.  Only problem is when I open up the system preferences and go to the 7600 there is no utility tab for me to perform a nozzle check or head cleaning.  I am running OSX.  Any help with finding the utility, or on cleaning the heads is appreciated.

Don't have OCX and don't have an Epson, but did some surfing anyway.  God I love the internet, lol.

Try browsing some of these links and maybe something will help -

Here's a follow-up.

A pdf from EPSON for the specifications to download.

Looks like Nozzle check is done using the printer control, not the software....I think.....see page 8.

I had looked at the first two links, but didn't see that third one.  It's weird that that info wasn't in the manual that I received.  I appreciate it, I followed the instructions and after alternating a nozzle check and cleaning 4 times I now have a perfectly functional Epson 7600....that I scored for $300!  SWEET!

Now just gotta get this driver issue figured out.

Thanks for the help!
