New Plastisol Discharge Mix?

I've been researching & considering trying out some discharge and other waterbase stuff. It looks like this was just released--saw it while on YouTube. Looks interesting, I guess the advantage is that you still have access to your regular plastisol if needed instead of converting to all waterbase/discharge?

Ryonet is not an ink manufacturer their inks are after market.. I would start by finding out who manufactures their inks and.. by the manufactures reputation and info about that product, you will be able to guage what you are getting into.

Union makes a Plasticharge ink.  Ive got some on the shelf but havent had a chance to try it out yet.

I got some union plasticharge too and it works the same way, the clear base smells like bubblegum, it works with just about any ink as well...nice vid from those guys.

Ah, I didn't realize plasticharge was a mix-in type thing. I'm already using Union inks so maybe I should look into it.

I always figured plastisol would mask the discharge and not discharge evenly but more blotchy if at all...

Does it have to be plasti-charge?

Well from Ryonet it has to be either CCI or International Coatings. I am thinking CCI if you look at their item number on Ryonets website it starts with CC

Plasticharge is water based. You mix your plastisol in about 50/50 and stir the hell out of it, along with the activator. It's a bit of an oil/water emulsified thing, but it works, doesn't dry that quickly in the screen, and washes out very well. Pretty soft hand, and no, the color isn't splotchy. I've fiddled with it. So has Wayne (screen express), and some others, I guess. It's an easy way to put a toe into discharge without going full monty with all of the water based bases and pigments.

Plasticharge is a waste of money and makes yours inks go pastel.

Use regular waterbase discharge and take the money, and time, you saved and buy a 12 pack on the way home.

Some people have success some don't. I personally did not like the results as was just said a lot of colors are muted. Go Sericol and don't look back. No pigments to deal with. Has to be the best and easiest system out there.

Maybe it works better with HP inks rather than standard inks.

Yes it does but even still some colors come out chalky like.

Big changes coming to Ryonet, they wouldnt say which one, but they will have rutland or wilflex by the end of the year, from what i am told.
