he's one of those people that hasn't been in the limelight much the past few years.  I think that is smart, he went out without a bomb of a show.  Both Andy Griffith Show and Matlock were good shows.

He did some medicare ads in recent years, that's how I knew he was still around.

Don Knotts has been gone for years.  I always liked Barney

James Arness die a few months ago or maybe a year allso, I,m a big fan of Gunsmoke and Merryberry RFD as it was first called.  I still watch the reruns of those shows as much as I can never boring just fun to watch.

Actually, it didn't become Mayberry RFD until after Andy left the show, and Ken Berry became the new sherriff. And Ernest Borgnine passed yesterday too, damn, all of my favorites from being a kid... If you want to see Andy as a bad, bad man, watch "A Face in the Crowd" A great movie with an 18 year old Lee Remick... obviously, that's for us older guys...
