updating my website
« on: June 24, 2012, 12:08:13 PM »
I'm updating my website and looking for suggestions.  I'm by no means a web designer I suck at it but if you have any suggestions please... do share!

Thanks!

I am the last person to ask for web advice, but I did put my proofreader's hat on for a minute, and a few things jumped out at me.

btw, folks, what may seem like a mini obsession with me goes back to my ex-wife being a writer, proof reader and presently an editor.

I'd be inclined to have your gallery pictures arranged so you don't scroll down so far, but I have to say you've done some nice print work.

Not sure how many toosl you have in Weebly, but if you get some cheap hosting and Word Press or Joomla you can build a nice site without much technical skill....They both have lots of galley options....

You have all your t's crossed an i's dotted. I can't see why a motivated visitor would have any apprehension in retaining your services because of your website.

Question: Why is your "SUMMER DEALS" tucked away in the more drop menu? Why not display a "SUMMER DEALS" banner add in the <div id="page">

I think you need more consistency on your gallery. Make them all the same size pictures maybe even put them in a frame. I also think you need more color or something to make it pop.  You can do something easy like making the image behind your logo change on each page but add some color. The whole site is flat and not even close to the type of work you do. Below is the changes I see you may want to do. Its not perfect but it will give you some ideas.
