One of THOSE days...
« on: June 14, 2012, 05:44:10 PM »
Sigh, ever have one of those days where all of your clients, your wife or significant other, people in general take out their crap on you?

Clients wait till the last minute - must be my fault!

Wife can't find her keys - must be my fault!

Wife can't find where she parked the car - must be my fault!

Taco truck down the street is on fire - must be my fault!

I am now afraid to leave the building as a plane might fall out of the sky and it is going to be my fault.

I believe this is why they invented beer. Sorry for the rant!

I always had a hunch you were a serial taco truck arsonist.  Hang in there and enjoy that cold one, sounds like you earned it.

Beer fixes everything. Take twelve of them and call us in the morning.

Will do! That amount has to wait till tomorrow night though.

Had one today myself.  Got a 16x20 deck project going on in the back yard for the hot tub/outdoor kitchen.  I am using some high dollar composite decking (Choice Deck @ 2 bucks a board ft).  We were about 4 pieces short of 16 foot decking.... so Had to run to the nearest place to get the decking about 70 miles away. Keep in mind this is the second trip in as many days for materials.  Get the decking loaded and nearing home I noticed that my tie down strap had came loose on the trailer and sure enough 2 pieces of decking was gone.  Back tracked and could not find it. Had to travel all the way back to Lowes for 2 more fricking pieces.    SONOFABITCH!!!!!

sorry to rain on the already rainy day parade, but we had one of our best days so far yesterday. Not that we made a bunch of money, but the systems we are putting in place finally started taking hold and we are finally scheduling jobs days in advance and executing them in the scheduled timeframes! We had 10 jobs scheduled (one being a high color sim process). We printed them just as scheduled (+/- 10-15 min), miscounted the shirts for one order so had to print it twice and a RUSH order came in that we got done. After all, we were done 15 min before quitting time.

crossing my fingers that we can keep it going . . . It feels so much better than chasing your tail around trying to figure out what to do next and where those shirts are. All the incoming garments are inventoried with today's production staged (most of it at least), screens for today are already burned and we have a schedule for the next five days.

It took so much time to get here. So much work and frustration. So many different employees before getting a good team together. . .

Great to hear my friend. Sheer persistence will get you far but research and creativity does the rest.
You have all of the above.

LOL.   You make me smile man. Sorry for the frustration. I feel for you. I laugh cuz that crap happens to me all too often.  I just picture your face with hands in the air when you see it's gone.
