4 different color shirts and yes screen printed 1 stroke gold... I tried to blow out the top of the t with spot gun but it spreads too bad even with a vac pulling through. I think I am going to throw up :(

I hate to say it but the cost of replacing might prove better than the massive amount of time to alter. Lining up a screen to each and every individual shirt sucks and will cost you plenty just in oven and labor time.

But if you have a heat press something could be done with a lot less frustration.

since you can't take out just the top of the T, can you blow out the whole letter? And than add an r where the T was.
I think the heat pressing an r in place is a good idea, but if you have to print it, go to Harbor Freight and buy some lasers so you can line it up.

How big is the print? Bigger it is easier it gets.

Another option is to hand hold the screen and line it up. Some sort of clear or easy to see through emulsion helps.

p.s. it is never as bad as it seems! There are always options.

That really sucks.. Here is an option if you’re on an auto get some lasers and set up like 3 or 4 of them on the original printed art.  The white will cover the original printing if not aligned perfectly. It will take time but you can do it.

That letter should blow out fine, I wonder what is going on with that.  My guy could fix those in about 6-8 hours, he's a freaking genius when it comes to stuff like that.  He would blow the one letter out then burn another screen with the image containing the proper letter, put clear tape over the entire image except the "r" then put each shirt on the pallet, line it up over the print by hand using the rest of the design to line it up and swipe the "r" in the right location and you'd never know it was a mistake.  It would take him far longer to blow them out than to print, but 650 shirts is a big hit so you gotta do what ya gotta do.  I think with the right lasers you might could do that on the auto, especially since it's the last letter.

alan I thought the same thing about blowing out the letter but for some reason it is blowing the ink over the other letters. I have fixed many of my stupid mistakes and thought this would take maybe 3-4 hours to blow them out but I am not pleased with the results. I have attached a waving flag to the top of the letter and have it flowing back towards the other letters and it does not look bad but the dawg gone hook at the bottom is giving me fits.... I am really upset so I know I am not thinking straight but I will fix my mistake one way or another.

here is what I would do,

1. blow out the whole letter.

2. clean out your old screen really well.

3. tape out from the INK SIDE everything BUT the R..with CLEAR tape

4. now pull your shirt on and move it around with the off contact set so the screen doesn't touch the shirt and line up the old print through the clear tape.

5. print

the clear tape will keep the image open without the need to wipe it after every shirt

are you using an eraser shield?  That will help you make sure you don't get too much on the other letters.

A compete overprint might be in order.

I have often wondered if there would be a way to soak an entire design and have it come off easily....that would be really nice.

Make a template / fixture up, sort of like an embroidery hoop just large enough to cover the one letter. The rest of the shirt will be protected, and just blow out the one letter.
