I just got a Springfield 5.25 40cal bitone competition gun this last week. Its my first gun. I got it to target shoot and maybe enter some competitions. I live 8 miles (my shop is 5 miles) from Rio Salado gun range. They hold a ton of competitions there. I think there website has a lot of info on the competitions www.riosaladosportsmans.com/

He worked with Springfield to develope the XDM 5.25. Sign up for a USPSA match. I have not shot a Steel Challange but am going to shortly. You'll find some really nice guys and have a great time. It's my new hobby.Terry
