? on getting an auto..
« on: April 28, 2012, 09:50:12 AM »
OK..I am getting a 6/8 Diamondback delivered right after July 4th.

I can not wait!

My ? is : whomever has autos here...when it was delivered do you have any hints or suggestions for me when it happens...like anything you wished you did or know now to watch out for..

And when the tech is setting up...anything to pay attention to or have done before they leave?

Just looking for any info to make me aware of any bumps that come up that maybe one of you had to deal with...I know nothing is bump proof..

thanks Dude's!

remember stay classy..

Do you have an owners manuel for this machine.  If so, read over it and then if there is something you do not understand, ask about it.

I know when I got an M&R dryer, Todd, the tech, was full of knowledge.  I'm sure whoever sets it up will know tons of stuff about the machine.

Good luck.

If M&R is installing it, just sit back, relax, watch the show.  Pay attention to the training on how to use it so you know what you are doing when you are on your own.  Ask any question you have, they will make sure you know what is going on.

Be ready for air/electric expenses if you are not already set up.  Other than that you should be fine.

We figure out where we want the machine then have the electric, air or gas run very close to where the machine will be.  When it 's time to move a machine we get an M&R tech (we've had pretty much the same one for 10 years), a professional rigger and a professional electrician - plumber if gas is involved.  We have every thing measured and the floor marked with tape and the utes in position.  The tech has known me long enough that i can talk to him for a few and he understands my goal(s).  Then I get out of their way.

have your electrician and plumber on call the day the tech arrives in case you have issues, also when you move your press with the forklift, FIRST LOCATE THE DRAIN PLUG ON BOTTOM OF PRESS. If you hit that sucker with a forklift blade you are looking at serious trouble.  plan at least a day to uncrate before tech arrives.

I thought you already had an auto and recently was thinking of selling out.  Do I have you confused with someone else?
