depends on the temp I guess.  I know the older gas dryers use more heat and recycle less.

Ours isn't double wall, and it's a crapload cooler than a flash unit AND shirts coming out the other end.

to follow up I guess we are going with a heavier gauge pipe and insulating it.

how do you all have yours setup regarding cleaning the ducts periodically?  I was thinking a T at the bottom and a Y a little further up. use some kind if flexible chimney sweep via the Y and put a trash bag under the T.
