Frog:
--- Quote from: tonypep on May 13, 2011, 02:49:52 PM ---Waste tank maintenance is an issue and for ours we will get a prompt. But its only one issue. After almost four ys of hard use we broke down and brought in an epson repair tech. About $900 but he showed my guys all kinds of tips and info you won't find anywhere else. Worth it if you can spare the $$

Tony, any of these expensive nuggets that come to mind, and you have the mind to, please put 'em out here for the gang.

Sure thing Andy........this tech visit and tech training was invaluable. We would have had to replace the unit (4800) soon. Can't say how long it will hold up but its reasonable to expect a few more ys. BTW we found him by inquiries to film and ink suppliers one of which sold us the Epson. He was local so that saved a ton of dough. Best of luck Brandt and Shellly.

Could you be printing on the wrong side of the film? I know I,ve down that and didn't catch it until I touched the film what a mess. If nothing else print some plain typing paper it might help soak some of the ink overflow thats going on them go back with your films.

mine is a bulk system on the 3000 and when that happens I print a full size sheet of all black. clears most of my problems.
