4880 is DRIPPING ink?

(1/2) > >>

shellyky:
past couple of days my 4880 has been dripping ink dots randomly onto my prints....whats going on?  theyre fairly large blobs, about the size of a ball on top of a pin... the heads get cleaned (or it goes thru some cycling expellsion of ink process ) before each print day or two.  How can i fix it?

Are you using a CISS?  Could be a pressure imbalance?
Is it a particular colour ink?

How's your waste tanks?

tonypep:
Waste tank maintenance is an issue and for ours we will get a prompt. But its only one issue. After almost four ys of hard use we broke down and brought in an epson repair tech. About $900 but he showed my guys all kinds of tips and info you won't find anywhere else. Worth it if you can spare the $$
