What color

Has anyone printed on this tie-dye pattern before, I'm sure one color would be enough, but What color. I even thought about a silver ink.

When printing tie dyes we always recommend using two colors, two contrasting colors really helps pop the art from the inconsistent back ground

we usually print white with black outline (or reverse). We have tried the gray route and it works, but two color really is the way to go.

Yep, I do these once a year for a local Boy Scout troop who dye their own, and though some look way better than others, white with a black outline  (and sometimes some shading) seems to work the best.

Weird I just did a quote for some tie dye shirts for a local music shop, I was just going to ask the same question, sweet.

Yep, white with a thick black outline. Anything else looks like it's missing something.

always white with black outline or vice versa, if you want it to look good, if the customer won't pay, then they get what they get.

Here's a successful exception (at least on part of the print)
This was their idea, their art, and, as I said before, it looked way better on some than others.
At least with commercially dyed shirts, there is a consistency that one can design around. On these DIY'rs, it was hit and miss
