Here is another one that is a bugging me a bit.

I'm thinking to print white twice but the second time to print over the crown area only. First layer of white to be an underbase for a yellow, green and red.
I know that you would need two screen for this on auto, but I can get away with one on manual. trying not to have thick print, one layer of white should take care of the underbase for color.

Any other suggestions??

I think that would be the best way. I would discharge the whole thing though

I'm with Gerry.  I'd discharge it now days, no doubt, so long as it was a dischargeable shirt/dye.

But when I started I would have used 5 plates including 2 separate white plates.

Still would, if it had to be plastisol. 4 plates, if it didn't make the minimum number for 5, but I usually PFP white plastisol, and that would make a lot of ink for the colors.

You got 6 colors... just do it with 5 screens and be done with it.

No discharge, only plastisol.

This is the only way i would/could do it with plastisol inks. Use a choked UB white, flash, 3 colors on top, HLwhite. Total 5 screens. Depending on your screens, inks and design size you might want to flash before HL white. Pretty standard stuff.

yup, on the auto though if it wasn't many shirts I would run the white around twice through a 230 and then put the top colors on.  manually, you would be fine as well if you just printed the top of the white on the last stroke, but make sure you don't transfer any white to the colors.

pfpf the white and print your colors, done. simple spot color crap man, your customer isnt goin to know the difference only you will. You post stuff like that on here your going to get the "right " way to print it. or you could print your white with a 110 and flash it and print your colors. http://youtu.be/CtLvG0X3_JU

5 Screens for 40 piece order is a no-go (Custy will not pay), I might make an extra one if I do not like the look os the test print.

i bet you can get good coverage through a 110, that isn't a thick fill so if it's not 100% opaque, it's very hard to tell.

You should have fixed the problem right here. If they will not pay then they will not get it. Its that simple. Especially for 40 pcs. Stand your ground Dennis. You are doing this to make money.......

They are OK with 4 color, but they do not have money for an extra color to print. Bands are struggling today
I like to do as much as I can to satisfy the customer, if I can do something that will make this print better and feel better, I will do it, as long as I do not do too much.
On the other hand, I'm still learning, so I'm willing to try a bit more on a paying order, than mess around with stuff just to mess with it

I have a little policy here, "The best customer is satisfied customer" (Also, it must be paying customer)

Double print your white on a 180 or so then top colors on 230-305.

Pure yellows in particular can benefit from a solid solid underbase.
