Washout booth and recirculating screen wash or 2 in 1?
« on: March 21, 2012, 04:18:10 AM »
We have a washout booth that we use right now for recycling screens and developing screens. Once in a while we clean screens as well in it but most of the time that is done on the press.
Now that we move into a bigger space I was considering buying a separate recirculating screen wash unit from Blackline MFG.
But then they have as well the Super Trap a recirculating filter system that fits under your existing washout booth.
Geting that would save around $600. But is it Ok to do everything in the same booth, recycling, developing and screen cleaning?
How are you guys going on about this?

No issues with reclaimer getting in the recirculating system?

Yes that's what Blackline Mfg just told me know too. You can't get reclaimer in the recirculating system. If you want to use your booth for both you must have the Trap One under your sink, that will filter all crap no matter what but does not recirculate the solvents. Bummer.

sorry, I misread the question.  We have a separate ink cleaning tank and washout booth.
