Got the tank set up today. I only used 2 of the 3 gallons they say to use and it worked great! Even with a little extra ink on the screen. I think the new dip n strip works much better than the easiway supra I replaced.

That's interesting.  I was just encouraging one of our suppliers to look into CCI after hearing all the good reviews of their new discharge and it turns out they have avoided the company like the plague for years due to their toxic formulas- VOCs and other things being a primary concern.  We've used Franmar for 6 years and practically nothing else so I don't have any experience myself.   I wonder if CCI is turning a new leaf?

Well they do have a regular 'toxic' line and the enviroline. Their product offering in chemicals is staggering!

From what I heard their regular line doesn't need the " " around toxic.  Not sure I can get behind a company with a rep like that.

Well there are lots of products out there that contain no VOCs and do not make the claim to be environmentally friendly. I wondering if CCI have ever bothered to check what other real green products are out there and how they differ to their apparent green line of chemicals.

I think some companies honestly make a back end effort at it and many just do whatever sells.  This back end effort isn't necessarily proportional to their respective advertising efforts.

In any case I'm glad to see more options for safer chem's but would rather give our dollars to the ones who are sincerely vested in making better, safer products rather than the opportunists.

Across all industries many a company has recently made it so anyone in their right mind would be embarrassed to use the term 'green'.

I personally would probably feel much more comfortable using Franmar products.
Shame, here in Japan no one in the print industry cares about green products.
But still good deal this CCI dip tank, I paid almost twice as much for one from Easiway.

I just saw the CCI black dip tank yesterday. It is really nice. Very strong and is molded so it has no seams. I was worried that the tank would not hold my 23X31 screens with the MHM bushings on it so I checked and without chemicals in the tank they slide in fine. I figure with the chemicals in it they would slide in even easier. It is now on my list for the next few months.

My guy (that we are replacing this week) moves about as fast as a sloth.  He's one of the slowest moving land mammals on earth right now and I thought about calling Guinness Book and getting them out here to check him out.

lol

But still, I think that's nothing compared to one of my former printers. I came to shop one day and the guy working on Chameleon has printed more t-shirts than that fellow working on the Sportsman. He used to spend something like 20 seconds just to place the t-shirt on the pallet, because "he wasn't satisfied how it looks". Actually he was so slow that he takes hour and a half to watch 60 minutes.

Hey is there any chance of a video on the dip tanks, i have no exp. with them and would like to see it at work,  How often do you need to top up the tank? say if you were doing 25 23x31's a day.

Thanks
