Epson 3000 and RIP
« on: March 08, 2012, 11:43:42 AM »
Well it looks like the old Xante is about to crap out and it's time to make a change, by the way I HATE change. But to keep the screen print world from passing my by I need to upgrade. Does anyone know of a package deal for an Epson 3000 and RIP package.... I'm kinda like them pickers "I like to bundle things." I've been using a PS printer for a long time so will need the simpelist RIP available that is also the best..... not asking for much... Would like the printer to be all black if possible... any help is appreciated....... Thanks

since the 3000 isn't made anymore and you have to start fresh, I would check out a 4800 or 4880.  They are more robust and have auto cutting options.

My Epson 4000 is driving me up the wall. The printhead is clogging all the time as a matter of fact the magenta channel is fully clogged for a while now which is probably the reason why the printhead is overheating on a daily bases. Just wondering if the 4800 or 4880 have improved in terms of clogged print heads? Apparently the heads have a special coating that prevents the ink from drying on it. Feedback please.
