Graphtec buckling vinyl after about 3 feet

(1/1)

Gilligan:
After we cut about 3' of 15" vinyl and cut it off it looks like the vinyl is then "buckled" up a little.

Which seems like one roller must be pointing slightly inward towards the front right?  Anyone ever seen this?

Not a big deal to reset it but I don't feel like it should be doing that.

tpitman:
I've got a 24" Graphtec cutter. The only problem I've ever had is it not tracking evenly on long pieces, but that will normally show up when I send the job and it feeds out the entire measured length before it begins to cut, allowing me to stop it (if I'm paying attention). Having the pinch rollers set too close to the edge tends to exacerbate this. I usually draw out a foot or so, carefully aligning the edge with the lines cast into the front panel to make sure it's square, drop the pinch rollers, then press enter.

sweetts:
Check when you set it up I have noticed if I am a little off with keeping the vinyl parallel To the sides of the cutter after a 2-3 feet it will get askew and bunch up

I get when it walks... that makes perfect sense... it's pretty much impossible to get it DEAD straight.  But bunching up doesn't make sense.  That means one side is facing more inwards than the other side.

@pitman, We set up our jobs basically the same.  Odd how it decides to run up and cut a small thing then come back and do a bunch of other stuff... drives me crazy.
