Epson 3000 rough print?
« on: February 15, 2012, 02:21:25 PM »
My printer is making what almost looks like a jagged edge on only one side of the film. It is the side away from where the print head rest. I tried the cleaning procedure but it only happen on the wide art ( 10 to 13'' ) if the design is in the middle it is smooth. Its really strange why it just does it on that side. Any help would be appreciated.

A tall, wide mostly solid pos is a task for my 3000.

The head runs out of ink on the far side hence the banding.

Not only does the head have to be clean it has to be loaded with ink.

Make sure your other media light on the right lower front is on and use the utility for here...I think it is the first one.

It runs a much better cleaning routine than the clean buttons do.

I also use the 5th one down driver

Thanks Killer and good to hear from you.. Hope all is well with you and family and of course the Goats and dogs :)
I talked to Sigmo and he gave me a few options to run maybe one of them or these will work out the kinks.
Thanks again

Check nozzel print
clean head through computer ( like you had stated )
purge cartridge like your transporting and then reinstall cartridge ( uses lots of ink )
I am at the last 20 ft or so on my roll of film, he said to try different film.
I will let you know if this fixes the problem tomorrow when I print out more art files.
