Can't wait to hear your reviews.  I've been holding off and still using X3.  That book looks like it will make for some light weekend reading.  :)
Have a great day! :)

Sounds like a good deal--although I'd point out that if they follow the arc they have been on for the last six versions, X6 will be out sometime this year...

Hey Jason you should be able to save your work area and apply to new version. At least that is what I did from 3 to 4. Killer be sure to give some feed back and if your going from 4 to 5 or 3 to 5.... Good Luck

I bought the full retail version (not the OEM, upgrade or academic) from ebay. Found one of the rare seller that sells actual legit copies. I think it was about $190. Fantastic suite, I really enjoy it.

Here's the dude... no Coreldraw right now but he has copies up occasionally.

QUESTION: If you up grade will the macros from AA still work and will you still have X4?

Under customizations select workspace and export your workspace. You will be given a bunch of options as to what all you want to export.   In X5 under customizations, choose workspace and import your file.

Custom macros may or may not work in X5.  Most have to be updated due to new code yet some may work as is.

Honestly when upgrading to a new version it is best to start from scratch with the customizations. Yes this is a PITA especially if you customize as much as I do. Usually takes me about 2 hours to customize from scratch for me yet this is the best way. Some things may not work properly from your old workspace due to code changes plus there are always some hidden gems in the customization / commands sections that most people never even know they exist.

As Rick  stated, I have been a CorelDRAW beta Tester since v12 as well as on the Advisory Council which is a big step up from a normal beta tester.  Tom from Advanced Artist is another fellow tester for a couple versions as well.

One thing I cant stress enough to everyone who uses DRAW is to READ the USER GUIDE. A seriously boring read yet you will learn a lot if you do.  I read the guide about 3-4 times a year it seems.  Sometimes straight through and sometimes just a little here and there yet every time I do read it, I learn something new.
