Non slip tables
« on: February 14, 2012, 05:54:12 PM »
This is a simple one. I have the plastic tables you can get from Sam's club. They kind of suck for sorting because the shirts slide around and fall off sometimes. So this last week I took some old pallet tape and run a strip down the middle of the table and then coated it with water base adhesive and dried it with a heat gun. I also used some masking tape so the edges don't come up.  It works really well and now they don't build up static like they did.

Simplist my rear end.  I have the same exact table and I had an extra 100% poly table cloth lying around that I cut to size.  So I covered the table in that and hot glue gunned around the bottom and trimmed any excess.

Took me about 15 minutes total.  I might change it out since it is white.  I can also spray paint it if needed.

I wrap any folding table surfaces in cotton duck canvas and staple or tape underneath. Kills the annoying static of the plastic tables and shirts don't slip.

a 2" velcro strip on the edge of the table all the way down works well also.

I just use the non slip strip stuff you can put on floors and stairs. Also on the table we use for loading. You know how the last shirt always falls on the floor? Not any more

you have to be careful with some things you use.  They can snag 100% poly really easily.
