Epson WF1100 Printer Settings For Film Output

Hey guys.
We bought a work force 1100 for the time being while we get our other printer serviced.
We can't get it to print dark enough films.
We were wondering what settings you use for those of you that use this printer for films.

Right now, we have non-waterproof films and have tried printing from Illustrator as well as Photoshop.
Any help would be great.

I have an 1100 as a back-up, but alas, I have not used it yet. Dennis (DKGrafix) however uses one as well as refillable carts and can probably help.

What RIP are you using? Some of them have ink volume settings.

The standard answer on the older machines was set it for "Back Lit Film" I don't know if that is an available setting.

I have not heard of anybody getting excellent results out of stock carts on an 1100. On the 1400 I set it for premium photo paper, uncheck the high speed setting and turn on the grayscale setting and hit print but I have dye based ink, non WP film and no RIP but still get great results

Highest photo setting, Grayscale, Borderless printing on 13x19, and Premium Presentation Paper Matte gave me the best and darkest result.

Thanks to Dk Grafix and Gilligan, We got some good films out of this printer.
Gotta choose "Matte" paper instead of glossy.
