Shipping Changes
« on: November 13, 2024, 11:23:59 AM »
Any of you have a 1 day ship turn into a 2 or 3 day ship?  at one time Jacksonville, Fl was a one day ship for us now it's 2 days or 3 that's crazy heck I could drive there and back within a day, I ordered supplies a few weeks back from a company within my own state and ordered supplies from another that same day and they got the same day two day's later.  How the heck I'm not getting next day in my own state unless they didn't ship the same day which I always place order's way before there cut-off time.  Last minute customer's are now on high alert because we can't control the shipping process only what's on the floor in our shop, rant's over  ::)
Life is like Kool-Aid, gotta add sugar/hardwork to make it sweet!!

I never say I can do next day, and I do not rely on it anymore.

Every single order I do is delayed somewhere.

Placed order Friday.. 3 boxes... Monday receive 1 box... tues receive the other 2... but Lo and behold 1 of them was a tiny 8" x 7" box with 4 shirts in it..the packing slip[ inside said 40 pcs. and the shipping label on that tiny box said 26 lbs.

Then you have to call and explain it, and I get " oh well since it's over $100 we need to send this ticket to blah blah blah to get permission to send it. We will get back to you in 1-2 hours."

I told them it needs to ship today and it is urgent.

Roadblocks whatever you do...

With S&S  we are usually one day ship but theyre moving into a new facility in PA so thats been screwy.

We tried using martin supply for inks etc but theyre also in the middle of combining with text source so everything is delayed

Yup, this is everywhere.  Our UPS truck is so full they have to leave boxes off.  We seem to be missing a box or two from multi shipment orders several times a week.

we're missing boxes all the time. The key isn't the missing items, it's adding in a buffer time for production. We are shuffling jobs around all the time. It's a pain but, it's also just a shirt. If the customer is losing their mind over an order being delayed a day or two when it's of your control, then do you really want them as a customer? I sure don't..... I send them to Rob....

...keep doing what you're doing, you'll only get what you've got...
