Emulsion for LED?
farmboygraphics:
Question on the Dual Cures, I see the recommended time to use once mixed is 4 weeks.
If you're getting close to that deadline do you use it on your lower mesh counts just to finish it,
or does coating screens with what you have left extend that time once it's dried?

As long as you don't expose them to any light source they will last a very long time, I know I've coated dual cure and didn't use the screens for a few months, if you have to put them in a black garbage bag. As far as mesh count coat whatever you need and they still should expose even after a few months you might have extend your exposure time a little or maybe not at all.

I mixed my dual cure back in the beginning of November, I used it last week on some 300 and 225 mesh with no problems. Exposure and washout were great. My question is, would using it for the rest of my screens, 180 & 150, be a waste? Right now I use Ulano QXO for the lower mesh, but I don't know if I want a mixed gallon of dual sitting around to long. Thoughts.
3Deep:
I don't think the it will hurt the screens once they're coated, but as far as a mixed bucket sitting around I wouldn't unless you have a frig, if I remember correct when we used dual cure I would sit the bucket in the frig.

There is a limited life, even once coated, but I think it's quite a bit longer than the 4 weeks. Probably 8 weeks if I had to guess. It may have to do with slight UV exposure over time. If that's the case, you could have them covered better to last longer.
We rotate through everything and only sometimes have issues with 305 mesh (used rarely) and large 25x36 screens here and there (we print less oversize than we used to).
