Oh and size what is an average size print you all do for DTF? left chest I get away with and maybe 12 w by 8 to 10 H and caps but let me try a 13 by 15 and it feels like a sheet of plastic unless I can halftone it, I have an auto halftone program for DTF, it's pretty good but not on every large print.

Following! I've been looking at cheap azz printers (Procolored F13 Panda) just for fill in jobs for regular customers. I'm not dropping 20 grand or more at this point as I was crushed last year and could barely keep up with jobs on the press. Also, a one man shop.

I think most use epson print heads?

If only having the printer and thats it, it's pretty easy. 1-2 days using it and you will be god.

We got the dryer with ours and took a maybe 6 times using it on long runs to get the nuances worked out, but now super easy.

Like I said before, we use both.. but waaaay more dtf..

Stores are easy -  hole in a shirt? get another ad heat press, no need to set up again - yada yada yada..LOL

I have a customer that requests screen printing. Im alright with that and we do it.

Buy a printer, use it for a few months then throw it down the hallway like the rest of us, come on Tom...

I've come to my senses and I'm not opening that door.

discounttshirts:
We may eventually have to buy a dedicated DTF- but right now we have 2 epson F2100s- so we can still direct to garment or dtf on these- with the 2 printers we can easily print 100 10x10 prints in a hour- with one person handing the print/powder/cure- one of these printers is 6.5 years old the other is 2 years old with warranty for another 2 years. so we will continue this way for the foreseeable future - occassionally we have the need for a larger order and just order from tprnt.com
