Laser alignment system?
« on: September 28, 2023, 03:04:55 PM »
I did a quick search but didn't find anything, but I thought there was once a topic on here about laser alignment systems on here that you could install on your press, we have lasers now on there now, but they just aren't bright enough under the full light or lets say not as bright as I'd like them to be.  The one good thing about what we have now is they have a magnetic base, don't want to hang anything from the ceiling so anyone have a suggestion.

This is where we bought ours.  I have it mounted on a pole by station 1,  I bought the one with 4 lasers but could have got by with the 2 laser version.  They are pretty bright.

I've just noticed they have went up quite a bit like everything else.  I paid $400 for the 4 laser unit

Track down member Binkspot. He was making and selling these set-ups.

I got one from Brain a number of years ago. Still working great. We don't use it a lot, but it's nice when we need it.

I've built a few, as I like projects like this. But already made, if you don't like to mess with stuff like this, is the way to go. The latest was this one, a table clamping monitor stand. The lasers are held with universal joints and rings, See the screen capture from my Amazon page...

They have gotten smaller over the years. Two magnets on the back for mounting. One year warranty. Also have been building custom ones with brighter lasers and a choice of colors, finding many like blue lines instead of red. The custom units are priced based on the build. Building them for thirteen years now.

I found this laser on amazon, single laser with cross hair $40 bucks so I thought I would give it a go, the mound it has screws but I took a piece of magnetic sign material and glued it to the bottom, works just fine for what I need it for, which is pocket printing and above pocket.
