I am not able to open any of my ai files. I an running Mac IOS Ventura 13.2.1 and ai 27.9. I just updated thinking that may be the issue. I keep getting a message the image is locked or in use. Anyone ever have this problem?

I have had this on one or more occasions. Rare for sure, but I think it had to do with a permissions thing.
If I remember right, I cleared out any old files in cache and re-started. Shut computer down completely and restart.

Thanks Dan. It turns out that my problem is with dropbox. I have a few computers using the same folders. Somewhere along the way I messed up the access. I will have to track that down but I can at least access the files (the long way) and get them updated.
