3D printing
« on: October 14, 2022, 09:55:49 AM »
My wife was looking at the 3D printers the other day and I thought, is this something we might can use in the shop? any of you guy and gals have one or is this something to play with.  I was thinking the price on these things would be out the roof but there not that bad of a price on some models, Pros and Cons.
Life is like Kool-Aid, gotta add sugar/hardwork to make it sweet!!

If you know CAD and have a need to make small parts it's one of the coolest tools to have, not sure how I ever lived without one.

If you don't know CAD you are limited to printing things you download off the internet, which may or may not be what you're
wanting to do. I know the majority of my friends that bought one at the beginning of the hype printed a crescent wrench and then
the printer collected dust.

A company IO work with on some project just got one and I am having them 3D some squeegee handles for our one arm press.

Excited about the 3d metal printers that hopefully will become more available. And cheaper.
