I have one that is a teacher at my son's school, she is selling bootleg NFL stuff on facebook...grinds my gears so hard....
Sometimes, When we think bad of people and think they lie, we may be mistaken. For example. This women doesn’t really know the technical terms or why this does this and that does that but she knows it does it.The Cricut business is not our world, and screen printing is not hers. So we who don’t use them, don’t really know what those machines take for files. So I asked my wife (who has a cricut). So it seems it mostly uses pixel images to cut from. That makes sense as most of these "moms" are familiar with pictures and not graphics programs to create vectors.
I don't know much about that software but maybe it works like the roland software and just does edge detection and so that technically IS what she's cutting from. She gives it to the software and it sees the edges.Believe it or not, that is essentially how the Roland DID as well... I don't know if it still works that way but I promptly sold the Roland we bought when I "upgraded" to a Roland from our 15" graphtec... ordered the 24" graphtec after that!
Hopefully they changed that archaic system... this was 5+ years ago.Josh Ellsworth? I that the name of the guy? Even confirmed we weren't missing anything. Bleh!Graphtec too has been EXTREMELY solid, never had any issues with it. Their software changes from time to time but the overall process of what you feed it doesn't. Just the actual pressure/tiling/weeding lines and other finer points have changed in their plug-in.Basically with the Graphtec it's a plug-in for Illustrator. You just go "File / Send to Cutting Master" and it launches their software with your cuts all loaded in. I don't even have to outline fonts if I don't want to.
