Can anyone with Corel Draw open a Publisher file for me?

I have two files provided by a customer. I read on line that they can be opened by Corel Draw.
Can anyone give a guy hand?


I don’t think I’ve evener asked if anyone could open a file for me. LOL. Never came across a publisher file.

I'll try. Why CorelDRAW though? Isn't Publisher from Microsoft? Though I do  now see that even Open Office can't do it directly. Let's see if CorelDRAW X6 can. What did Inkman try?

Yes, it is. But the internet man said that it can be opened with Corel Draw.
I’ll send it now.

I gave it a try for Dan yesterday with CorelDRAWX6 with no luck. With some time on my hands and as well as some curiosity I also looked into the online conversions, and discovered that they are not all created equal. Had the best results with https://www.zamzar.com/converters/document/pub-to-pdf/. 
One of his files initially seemed to work in publishertopdf.com The other didn't, but had a good result with zamzar. When I tried the first one again, this time in zamzar, the results were a little different, and (I can only assume) more accurate.

Remember results vary. With Dan's files, the Zamzar service was noticeably different and better.

For future reference, I've managed to use libre office ( open source software - free )
to open some publisher files sent my way. It has a PDF export feature.
I use it all the time instead of the ms office suite.

Having said that, many files I receive from people are just broken to begin with,
so YMMV.
