multi color screen transfers
« on: May 21, 2021, 10:01:02 AM »
Good morning.
I have to make a bunch of 2 colors transfers. Do I flash between print colors or run the prints down the dryer then print the next color on top?
Thanks.
When you dig grave will you make it shallow so that I can feel the rain?

I've done it both ways, but either requires pre-shrinking the paper first.
Nowadays, however, I lean towards simply ordering the DTF transfers that seem to be catching on more and more.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

we do these all the time.   we run paper through dryer first to remove moister and shrinkage.  then print first color and flash for 4-5 secs,  just enough to dry.   the print second color which also will fully cover the first color(but has a small choke on it.  then remove from press and drag through powder.  and run through dyrer.  we use one stroke  powder and transfer paper  and regular inks.

Thanks for the advise. I will try flashing.
This order is for 10's of 1,000's for masks. I have not priced dtf but I can't imagine it being cost effective for this quantity...
Have a great weekend.

they would be pennies each, you can gang them up on huge sheets. Even different designs...

For those of you doing transfers, we start selling PET film, which is way more stable than paper for transfers:

We print this all day, everyday. works amazing for waterbased and plastisol.

What brand of ink/powder are you using for these with waterbased?

I have a new question on a different order... If I am going to press on poly or blends do I use a dye blocking poly ink like would normally?
Thanks again.
Matt
