Pantone Help
« on: June 02, 2021, 09:36:54 PM »
Can someone point me in the right direction on the pantone colors for both of these? Looking for the text color pantone, not the background. I usually use the photoshop recommendation as a guide but it's not even close. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Try Pantone 2050 for the second one.

We use the Pantone color convert, it gives you the closest match and some alternatives. Sometimes there is just nothing that does come real close.

By best practice go to, is to hold up a Pantone book near monitor and match that way.  Yes method yet, since when referencing visually from a digital file of any sort, it’s relying on your own monitor settings (based on what it’s reading) to  determine what the color is. Photoshops color picker and Illustrators color converter are the same.  Since you mix inks based the pms number as a guide, you can’t go wrong matching to a pantone color from what you are looking at.
