Help with EMC valve
« on: June 07, 2021, 11:55:36 AM »
Yea you all know I got that name can not be said machine. Its pushing 2 million prints now @ 7 years old. Been chasing air leaks for a while now, mostly just the push to connect fittings, easy to change. A couple lines got hard and brittle, easy to change. Now I have two leaking valve body gaskets. They guys that built it used EMC parts, knock offs of SMC. EMC seems to be impossible to obtain here in the states, all sites lead to chinese sites. Below is a pic of the solenoid valve I need gaskets for. I searched SMC's site up and down hoping to find a similar gasket. I took the valve to my local Hope/Parker store they could not source it. I tried Gasket sealer, RTV and curable silicone. All three failed under the pressure of the air. Not sure what to do next, I might buy some material to attempt to make the gasket but its not a flat gasket it has some raised features on it.
I also been shooting emails to OTS but I am getting everything kicked back, not sure if they closed up?

Any ideas of a solution for this?

Probably easier to just replace the whole valve. IME getting rebuild kits even from SMC was like pulling teeth.

I will keep that in mind. Today I have a sales rep from HOPE Group coming in, he is going to get all the specs amd measurements so he can source it for me. If he can't I will give your contacts a shout. Thanks
