roller frame fabric protectors

I hope this is the right segment to post this, but is there any good source or are the roller frame fabric protectors still for sale anywhere?  This polyken tape I'm using at $20 a roll is either coming off after taping on both sides or dripping adhesive down through the middle of the screen causing me to have to clean and degrease again.  Thanks for any help.

we use gorrila tape. and it holds ups great. it's cheaper than polyken too!

Not a solution for you probably however when I mastered the shurlok panels we never had this problem with soft corners, 40 newtons in the middle 20 on the corners. Its possible and plausible but that it is going forward. Also there is monster tape.

Curious if tape is needed if you use endurance Shurloc panels?

we have been using Gorilla tape for about 3 years. It holds up to the pressure washer and all the associated chemicals, we use Franmar chemicals so possibly not as aggressive as the "hotter" chemistry available.
Our frames are Newman MZX we split the tape down the center (tear it, .... it will run straight) for the sides and full width for the square bar and top roller.
Stick it down well and forget about it.
One of the many advantages is if the mesh tears under the tape you will see early warning from the tape as the mesh  will drag out some of the adhesive from the tape giving you an opportunity to address the tear and save the mesh while the tape prevents a complete blow out.
The disadvantage is when you have to replace the mesh the Gorilla tape it does not give up it's task easily.
Remove the residue adhesive with Tekmar TB-AR Orange a citrus solvent that works quite well on all adhesives.
We have screens with the original tape in place for well over a year.
The tape is about $9.00 per roll.

I tried the white polyken tape, but it didn't hold up.  Currently using the yellow Newman tape on the 3 roller sides and gorilla on the square bar side.  Using Saati ER2, IR26, 701 for haze/crap removers, and sometimes follow with Saati direct prep 2.

I have M3's  otherwise I'd take them.  I'm hitting walmart tomorrow for some gorilla tape.  I'm getting enough for 48 frames.  Now for all of the adhesive cleanup.  lol.  Thanks for all the help.  That's what make this forum the bomb.

I use Franmar D-Haze for adhesive removal and it does pretty well.  I checked the ingredients and it's got what someone mentioned that works.  Give it a shot.

I don’t know what’s best, but what I do know, is that I experienced a shop that used either duct tape, or gorilla tape on there for a long time. They also did the dip tank thing, and for whatever reason, had major strands or shreds hanging off the sides of the tape.  These wreak havoc on a CTS due to the clumps of strands that sit (on top) of the sides of the screens or what is the shirt side of the image area....when getting imaged. The head height sensors catch these every time (to protect the print head). Slows down production of screens.  In add-on, with these strands like fat hairs sticking up, they can get caught on the corners of the metal where two sides are connecting, (like a wedge) and catch the strand....and rip it off, and drag it across the image area through the ink...and leaves streaks rendering your screen unusable.   This is similar to what I think is happening for Inkman on his post this am. (not that he uses shredded gorilla tape). Just guessing that it’s a similar situation.


Might be very durable, but keeps your screens looking like a rat chewed the edges...and therefore, terrible for CTS.
I am also not positive it was actually gorilla tape. Could be duct tape this shop was using. I don’t remember exactly.
