Microsoft Office?

Do you feel it's worth the cost to sub? I only get a small handful of these files in a year, but feel a little unprofessional if I have to ask someone if they have another format available. Thoughts?

I've found Open Office to work for almost all Microsoft files that I do get.

open office is free and will do an OK job. Feel free to drop me a line if you need something converted when OO struggles, will gladly do it.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!
