Call of the Day (so far)
« on: October 13, 2020, 04:11:01 PM »
Hello, Frog Prints.

Do y'all make T shirts?

Yes, that's what I do.

Do you make them for dead people?

???

That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

yup, done that before!
Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

Was it a strange way to ask for a memorial shirt?

Was it a strange way to ask for a memorial shirt?

Apparently, but it degenerated from there.
Even with my cautions about emailed and messaged phone pics and/or low rez social media stuff, I was sent a screenshot of an instagram page.
Needless to say, after cropping out just the image, and enlarging it to shirt size, it joined the ranks of old Atari games with their noticeable pixels.
I warned that this would be passable at best, and can they possibly ask for the original?
"No, he's dead" was the answer. "Can you show me how it will look?" they asked
Well, I could send you actual size pdf, or even a small cropped out section of it, that you can then print out and see for yourself.
"We're on the road" can you just send it to my phone?"
That will look the same as what you originally sent.
"Well, that looks fine to me"
Sigh, that's the point. These lower resolution versions display fine on our screens, but are often not suitable for reproduction.
Well, if you can't do it sharp, let's forget it.

You all know my request right?  When I pass, I'm getting cremated and Pierre will mix my ashes into a gallon of ink and print every member of TSB a shirt with a photo of me. Then, with any luck, he will mail it out to all of you for Christmas. ;)  Then, you can all get together at a trade show with your shirts for a group picture.

A little something to remember me by. ;)

And when folks ask, do you remember that DTD guy ? The answer would be a resounding "You bet your sweet ash we do!"

Ha!  Well, hopefully not, but who knows.  I'm literally waiting on my Covid-19 test results as I type. I've been working from home the last two days. I think it's just a head cold, but we have to be proactive as to not affect others, so I'm home.
