Best way to clean a press

Bought a dirty press, What's best way to clean it.  What do you use to make it look pretty? :-*

Use simple green and a little elbow grease and that should pretty much do it. 701 works well too, will clean just about anything.

The best? Dry ice blasting.

That can get pricey though.  I would recommend starting with something like WD-40, letting it soak and if that doesn't work, slowly work your way up to D-limonene (spelling?)

The bid thing is letting is soak for long enough.  You might have to reapply every couple hours.  Let the solvent do it's job.

I did try wd 40, but I just tested, not really let it soak.  I'll maybe buy some simple green and try that too.

Let Goo Gone soak for a while and it'll work really well.

Crazy thing we’ve found is WD 40 dry lube. I think it’s their silicon spray. Has worked very well for us.
