Our are under $2 as well. I think $1.58 delivered but we use kraft and not white and I’m pretty sure white is more. We don’t even order that many at a time. We only get 500 due to limited space. I think the plate for ours was $595.

I highly recommend Uline custom printed tape and branded box inventory labels instead.

Cheaper, takes less space, less waste and thus much lower environmental impact. Recycling 5000+ boxes a year makes me cringe.
I don't know why I didn't think of the tape.  Appreciate everyone for the responses.

Depends on how you look at things... Tape is ONLY good for the person opening up the box, then it's value and your cost is dead. We use fully printed nice custom boxes so when they are sitting in a office, behind a merch table, or re used for someone moving it is advertising/awareness. Tape won't do that.

All of this...Tape is cool but not seen nearly as much as a box. I can't tell you how many times my kids told me they saw one of my boxes at the store /school /restaurant etc....

Also, If you have a bangin' box, chances of them keeping it / reusing it are increased. We have a nice white box with badass prints /assorted colors. Hot pink print on a white box is cool with me, not so much with the gnarly truck driver picking up an order ;D :o

Show us your box dude.

Pink or not. LOL

Rob's seen my box...and he LOVES it... ;D ;D... they are grey this month... Going blue for July because 'Merica......

We do this same thing.

Ya, the Kraft is cheaper but for the green in our logo the white works better. We printed them in house for a few years as something to do when we had down time. The down time became less and less and printing them became more of a pain in the ass. since we have so much coverage and it goes on the flaps we needed a bigger plate or something and I want to say our plate was like $900. The interesting thing I thought was they said we can take our plate to another box company if we ever decided to get them done elsewhere. The actual "printing" of the boxes only added something like $0.08ea or something trivial.

We are now eyeing a move from Saint Paul to Minneapolis and will need new plates(the boxes say "Saint Paul, Minnesota") for both sizes which I wish I would of though of ahead of time!  :-\

we print all 4 sides, we have about 4 different colors to use. White looks sharp, and EVERYONE can lift them with shirts in them. 16x16x16.

White looks amazing, until UPS gets a hold of them.  Then they look nasty.  When I saw some of ours out in the wild I was disappointed by how awful they looked.

White is the only way to go for us. We don't ship in our own boxes, we reuse the supplier boxes for that. I don't care if someone in West Buddafuk sees my logo, chances are they will never buy from me anyway.

Just ordered some blank boxes from a local place. Can anyone point me in the best direction for how to print them? Will plastisol work or is that a no go?

anything works... plastisol, waterbase, paint,.... mustard  ;D...

We have a "bastard bucket" that we dump all our extra plastisol in and oddly enough it's a really cool shade of grey, so we've been using that for the last two runs. works great. I foiled a box once, turned out pretty slick...

I used Nazdar 9700 back in the day but it's more annoying to deal with likely than alternatives.
