Roq Printhead maintenance

What lubricant are Roq owners using to do the printhead maintenance? The press came with a black can (forget the name). I haven't been able to get more of that from Ryonet.

OP we were able to get a can or two from Ryonet awhile back. It's Italian so not popular here,
and though I'm sure there is an equivalent, it is pretty great stuff.

The grease they use we were able to source from Motion Industries.

On the topic but not for printheads- if anyone wants a tube of the "official" lube for the zerks (euro sized) in the index drive area  I'll ship you a tube, just shoot me an email.   

Ryonet wasn't carrying it because Americans are used to larger zerks and were snapping off the smaller ones so they were recommending spraying the areas in there that needed it.  We all know that grease ports are the jam though and my crew insisted I find the right stuff, which only came in a 10x lifetime supply qty.

Where are there zerk fittings? I never noticed them, but I also haven't really looked for them too hard. As my father in law says "maintenance" is not my middle name...

I want to say the star assy has 'em but, same, been a minute since I did press maint here.   The s.roque's are pretty user friendly for the press ops to keep up on the schedules and there's even that faceless nightmare person with the wrench that pops up to remind them.

The only zerks that come to mind are on the brake/reg slider assembly.

Is the grease you're talking about the SKF stuff? If so I have a case of it as well. Never noticed it was a metric size.
Nor knew there was metric size grease guns. But of course there is. I'm just in the habit of replacing like with like.

I'll have to look on mine now, I can't remember ever seeing one on there. The manual never said anything about it. I do have to say my manual for my first one was just the Portuguese manual someone dropped into Google translate I'm pretty sure!

MHM's are good for funny translations too.

Our manual shows greasing the linear slides directly on the rail, but there are zerks in there too, easy to miss if I recall.

Yeah that's the part I'm thinking of... I think.   Yes, SKF sounds right.   

One of my printers is has a benevolent reverence for our machines (something I probably lost fixing up multiple presses over the years) and pointed it out.  I'm sure lubing the slidey parts without the grease port is perfectly fine too.
