Of course Andy nailed it. It was Chevy Chase. He obviously moved on.

Since we are having a bit of musical fun please check out Regina Spektor and Duncan Sheik. We all have our own classical favorites but you might to include them. It is a White Limousine after all.

Paul Simon not as strong possibly historically as musically talented most likely took some artistic license in the line  We was all on the cover of Newsweek.
I believe, If correctly reported the line would have to have been We was all on the cover of Time. Just doesn't ring right.
Anyway the answer is below the radical priest was Father Daniel Berrigan. You can dig more about him here

Hey that's neat, I remember reading about those brothers. America does seem to love when someone breaks ranks
for a righteous cause.

I think that you use the term "America" a tad too broadly son.
Spoken as one obviously never at the wrong end of a billy club or tear gas cannister.
Righteous to some was mereley "Anti-American Commie subversive" to others.

But lest this degrades into a strictly political debate, lets just listen to the song.

You'd be surprised. Recall we've had a few wars in my time, despite not calling them that.
Not to mention the white nationalists in Berkeley of all places, what, 3 years ago this month?
Wonder how many of them are taking that socialist handout...

Pardon the annoying posts. Its just that I dislike that the good music is overlooked and never played. Everything has to be generic and banal these days. "Yes, Virginia" by the Dresden Dolls. That is my recommended observation for today.
