What would be a good average speed for embroidering polos, sweatshirts and other tops. Our contact at Tajima recommended around 850 rpm would be a good setting. I assume it depends as well a little on the artwork? Caps maybe a little slower?

I would say short answer, run as fast as your machine and design allow for great quality. Certain designs seem to have a sweet rpm spot. Flats are usually between 780-850 for us. Hats usually right around 600ish (puff running slower than that)Tajimas in my shop.
