It was a nice surprise, wasn't aware it was coming with them. Handy for sure!

Wow that's awesome! I look at a press that big and gotta wonder, how do you keep that thing clean? I feel like it takes me forever to clean up my 6 color Diamondback. I can only imagine what it would take to keep that bad boy lint free haha

We've not at too much trouble staying clean since we don't use spray tact.

So we have been planning to get a G3 for a while, and get keys to our new 22k sq ft place on dec 2nd, so we are going to be buying it like NOW!  Not to derail this thread, but I had 2 questions related to the press/flashes and was hoping for some clarity.  What is the absolute max print stroke?  M&R says 22", but i know some guys eek out a little more on some other presses.  Also, for the flashes, I was originally thinking Chili D 20x24, but wonder if we should do with the DX, and if we should go with 20x28 instead "just in case".  Any thoughts?

Grats on the new press!

I believe it has the same stroke as my Ch3D listed at 22" and we've done 23" before. Don't believe we've ever tried to go beyond that on a 23x31.

We went Chilli DX and so far so good. We have one of the Chilli D on our CH3D, wasn't a lot more to go DX. Something like $500 per flash. So nothing when you are into a press this size and such.

I was going to go with the DX as well, but I decided not to. Some of my guys just struggle running a press, much less adding in controlling a flash. I just don't trust them. If you're a small shop or have seasoned veterans you can trust, the DX is nice. Also, I left print heads out for the flashes. We never move our flashes so why pay for a print head that will never be used. That made having a DX less possible, or at minimum would have been a programming problem at M&R. No head to plug the DX into doesn't work.
