New Screen Box
« on: September 12, 2019, 09:06:41 PM »
Shooting together a new screen box with integrated light table and Tri-Loc.

Fits a total of 14 screens.
Able to fit 23x31 in all slots with 6 slots that also accept 25x36 or 20x24 (sideways).

Attaching doors and calling it a night.

Phase 2 will be adding a gas strut-supported lid which will hold the Tri-Loc so that I can use the light table or Tri-Loc reg as appropriate.

One of my favorite things to do is find really good storage where there was previously none.  I'll have to post some pics of things I've done.  It's amazing how fast you can fill drawers though.

Nicely built, I would paint it with a good yacht varnish so you can wipe it down now and again.

Not just drawers, but also any flat surface otherwise unused at the time. I Once had a foreman back in my die stamping days who jokingly told us how he solved that problem on his home work bench by building it enough of an angle that most things would slide off!  :o
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

I was going to make the top all glass but had an old light table that I scavenged for essentials. Then I was going to make the top flush to meet the border of the light table but decided some troughs would be better to keep odds and ends.
