In an auction like this, most of the big equipment is gonna go for around retail, cause people get caught up in the bidding frenzy.
It's always sad to see some of these places die out. It's even sadder to watch what people are about to pay on this equipment. I just can't get over the buyers fee. It makes me want to go into the auction business.
There are some deals to be had. I knew a guy that got a Brother GT541 for $300 at an auction. Everybody was paying attention to the embroidery equipment. This was also back when these were new, so it was worth probably $15k or so at least.Makes me wonder what strange places printing equipment pops up for auction and goes for nothing.
When people win items on the online auctions, assuming they are out of the area, how do they arrange shipping? Do they auction companies assist with this? Do you hire an independent moving company to go in, crate it up and have it ready for a truck?
