All waterbase here......  For HD we are using mostly silicon from matsui, but we are starting to mix some of our own stuff as well...... we use liquid emulsion from kiwo  called thick coat...... typically we are doing 800 micron HD and we are getting there with a 2 over 8 coat all wet.  We struggle with cap film here for some reason but no issues with the thick coat.

We use a SBQ Marakami Aquasol-HS. Coat 1/8. We us Wilflex HD clear for gel coats over parts of designs.

Interesting so far. We also use the liquid HD emulsion from CCI with great results on standard size images. We use the Chromaline Cap film on most others or for anything multiple layers that has to be super clean. We will even do a 400 mic. dry then a 200. Or 400/400 on larger 1 layer images. I m searching for the old gel that would almost bubble up totally clear. IT layed down thick over like a 2 layer black HD print.

Oh that's the trick with the gel. Hotter dryer temp than the usual and longer retention time. We are sampling gels next week but I cannot for the life of me remember what we once used to get that super clear look. I'm not even sure they make it. It was a rutland product.

Probably doesn't help you guys much since your mainly all plastisol ink but for that look we use Yama Clear Silicon from matsui......... It gives you an amazing dome effect that is perfectly clear where you can see right through it. We print HSA under it all the time

Thanks, We are moving forward with alot of water base testing. Color matching is so critical with retail customers so its slow. That Matsui product may be exactly what I am looking for. Thanks man
