how far is "up"
« on: May 07, 2019, 09:39:24 AM »
Anyone care to assist me with pricing on this e-mail inquiry? :P ::)

This is all the info that we received about the items requested
Hi. I was wondering if I could get a quote on some shirts I would like to get made? I would need roughly 11 shirts with our business logo on them on the back, and 5 of them would have writing on the front. I'd also like to have some hooded sweatshirts made as well with the logo on the back and some writing on the front.

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES COMPLETELY WITHIN MY CONTROL YOU SHOULD GET YOUR OWN TEE SHIRT AND A SHARPIE MARKER BY NOON TOMORROW OR SIMPLY CALL SOMEONE WHO GIVES A SHIRT.

I get a call or email like this daily. For many who offer Cad-Cut, digital transfers, or DTG, this is exactly the target market.
Of course, we still need the details dumbass!

This is right up there with "how much are printed shirts?"
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

I effing HATE that question.  I always respond with "it all depends on how many shirts, imprint colors and imprint locations, so you know about how many shirts you are looking for?"

THEM: "it all depends on the price."

ME:  "I can't help you if you don't know what you need."

This is why I hardly answer the phones anymore.  I would say 1 out of every 10 calls gets answered unless I know the number.

I tell them that the it doesn't work that way, in the custom business, you need to tell me EXACTLY what you want, and then we can tell you what it costs. Or, check out CustomInk.

Hi, I'd like to order pizza.... I'm not sure how many I want, hot many toppings, or what size, but could you tell me how much that is? (rolling eyes/face palm)

or

Hey Jedi, I need an ink mixed. I don't know how much I need, how big my order is, or how many locations share that color, but you know, just mix some... (facepalm)

Point being, no matter what you're doing, you will encounter people who are not bright. LOL

Fresh one from this morning...
Subject:
Pricing
Message:
I’m needing some shirts printed and was wanting to know pricing. It would be a small logo on the front (3 colors) with 4 words (larger) on the back. I would like to supply the shirts if possible. Thank you,

It just never ends.....
