Water based white

For water base I would recommend either Permaset, Aquo, or Matsui. That is what we use and can actually get. For discharge we are all CCI. Regarding Rutland and any previous Wilflex line getting anything from them or any dealer was like pulling teeth so I stopped years ago.

Virus, Matsui both take 3 screens to get a good white, with Inknovators on some 100% cotton shirts we are able to get good results with 2 screens.

It's similar to all the Turkish ink companies that have been cropping up at ISS, however they have a few years with a distributor in the US.  It's a Hybrid, which if I understand correctly is a acrylic / urethane mix, but I'm not really quite sure, I just call it Turkish Delight.

My favorite brand SuperDry who is the king of special effects are made in Turkey and their suppliers use this ink.

Good stuff, we are still testing, but has had promising results.

What's the secret sauce?  S-Mesh, modifiers, thicker emulsion?

For small images Matsui is passible with two screens, but for bigger prints we definitely need 3 screens.

We typically use EZ white for the base, and kombat for the highlight.

Kombat. It's optically the brightest, but does dry crazy fast.

We rarely need 3 screens(whites) for a good white..... super rare.... currently we are using products from Minerva/green galaxy that are being modified but will be available for purchase here in the coming months. Zane I’ll send you some ink if you want to give it a whirl.

I can tell you we sell LOTS of this product as well as the base and pigments. Magna is a serious player in waterbase and should be considered in the product evaluation mix.

I saw them printing Virus white manually at LB, they got a great result with regular white and a elastic white.
I'm planning on trying these.

I have been using the Green Galaxy Comet White for a while now, and I'm considering switching over to the Matsui stretch white for good.  The consistency of the Matsui ink is so much easier to work with, the Comet White is just so damn thick and dries out like crazy, especially when you get a flash involved.  The Matsui stretch white feels about half as thick in terms of consistency, like it's actually runny like you'd expect from a waterbased ink, and seems to give off the same print quality.  But I haven't played around with it yet
