Graphtec Blade Holder - Spring replacement
« on: April 02, 2019, 09:29:04 AM »
What's the deal with the springs on these? Am I supposed to change the tiny spring each time I change the blade (seems logical), but I also seem to remember reading that the OEM blade holder doesn't allow it.
Given the price of a replacement holder (though aftermarket versions are way cheaper) I don't want to bung up the works.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

I've never replaced a spring in my Roland blade holder, though I think I bought a replacement holder along the way, it's 25 years old...

I have since spoken with someone at Clean Cut (where I get my blades) and he kinda' sorted it out.
Apparently, older holders had a spring that came out, while the newer ones don't. When one does not specify which, Clean Cut tosses one in with the order, just to be safe.
