But a few years back I was trying to help a fellow board member here dial in their dryer settings. I have a donut probe I sent them to use. I am more than happy to help others here if I can. I've loaned other tools out over the years. Problem is, I never got this back. So if you have a donut probe that you borrowed from me and forgot to send back, I'd love to get it back. I'm sure it was surely an oversight not intentional. If I knew who it was I'd just ask to get it back. See what happens after many years of printing, proceeded by owning a bar? The memory goes and the manneries grow. If I can't find who borrowed it, I'll chalk it up to "Nice guy finishing last" and I'll buy a new one.

My Family used to be in the Hardware Store business, we loaned tools and likewise some never came back. So my dad decided we would not loan anymore, he even put up a sign in the store that read....
WE DON'T LOAN TOOLS BECAUSE IT CAUSES AMNESIA. But we had the few that couldn't read.

That's why you take a deposit.  Just like in school when you had to leave your shoe with the teacher to borrow a pencil...not too many one-shoed kids walking the halls...they always remembered.

I have a friend who claims, as a child, he grew in abject poverty. One day he was walking down the street with his mother and a passer-by said " Mrs. DeMarchis you lost a shoe". She responded  "No I didn't.... I found one !"
