Actually, not to take anything away from GDS, as some films just seem to work better for some folks, the Fixxons film shipped free if I remember correctly.

Also just to make a quick Note here....

Waterproof films are NOT truly waterproof.  It was just a term coined for marketing. Nano porous or Micro porous coatings are mistakenly called water-proof.  Just think about it. These films are being used with ink jet printers. Inkjet inks are water-based.  If the films were truly waterproof, the darn inks wouldn't adhere to the films, LOL

We just got a order in from fixxons. The prices were cheaper than that and free shipping. They shipped out the next day. We have used many waterproof films and these are just as good as any on the market at a much cheaper price.

Well, I know it's a competitive market out there on a lot of things, film included, but thanks to Homer, I'm a fixxons convert.  I got the 11x17 and my HP9800 it really puts down a nice coat of opaque ink.  Maybe it's just the combination of the two, dunno.

Likewise, Wayne. I've got a box of Fixxons 13x18 coming in Monday. At least as good as any other I've used, and like you, prints really dense black films off a 9800.

I use the Fixxon/ HP9800 combination as well, and while good and dense, as I recently told the company, the films are more fragile that I would like.

A tech is supposed to be looking into my problem.

I have to say though, disappointingly, that other films are not a lot better in this, so it looks like my next order will be Fixxons again.

Fixxons and Epson 1100, no issues here. Films are dense and I do not have problems washing out exposed screens.

People know your figure was a joke, and your point was generally well taken. Although not the case here with Fixxons, shipping is often a deal-breaker.
