« on: January 09, 2018, 03:36:45 PM »
Hello All...

Looking for recs on an air dry solvent ink (Nazdar?) for printing on poly coated wood.
Anyone know of SKU on Nazdar that might fill the bill?

Thanks.  - John

is this something that's going to be used indoors? or does it need to hold up to rubbing/use?

I would suggest using the 9700 series with the NB80 adhesive promoter (to be safe)

The application is important.  I've printed naz 9700 and plain old waterbased ink like TW graphics or Speedball.  BUT if it's to be used outdoors and also some indoor applications I'd always add some kind of coating after it dries.  Polyurethane or a clear epoxy coating depending on the end use.

Several times a year I print wooden door hangers for a local independent hotel.  After I print them, they handle the coating through another vendor.  Which is an ideal situation.

Sometimes they have a coat or 2 of poly or something on them before I print and the water based ink still cures just fine.
